Insomnia
What is Insomnia?
Insomnia is the difficulty of falling asleep, staying asleep, or feeling rested despite having enough time and a good sleep environment. It can result from external factors like a busy schedule or a noisy setting, as well as from medications or health conditions such as depression, anxiety, thyroid issues, and hormonal changes from the menstrual cycle, menopause, or andropause. Insomnia is linked to long-term health issues, including metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, and reduced cognitive function.
