Hair Loss

What is Hair Loss?

Hair loss, or alopecia, refers to the thinning or absence of normal hair growth on the head or body in both males and females. It can manifest as a receding hairline, thinning, excessive shedding, bald spots, or skin irritation around hair follicles. Hair loss can be either permanent or temporary, depending on the cause, and is distinct from normal hair shedding, which averages 50-100 hairs per day.
