Inflammation

What is Inflammation?

Inflammation is a natural response by a body’s immune system to protect and heal. It involves proteins and signals that help repair damaged tissue and fight infections. While short-term inflammation is helpful and an essential part of healthy repair and protection from infectious diseases and injury, it can become a problem if it lasts too long. Chronic inflammation can result in poor recovery and lead to the development of other chronic diseases.
