| 10/21/2026 | 7:00 PM UTC

Join Dr. Elizabeth Boham for this month’s webinar as she explores the functional medicine approach to evaluate and decrease your patient’s risk of breast cancer. She will review the research behind common triggers and mediators of cancer growth such as inflammation, insulin resistance, imbalanced hormone metabolism, imbalances in the microbiome, and toxins in the environment. Dr. Boham will also review strategies on how to identify these imbalances and ways to work with your patients to create balance and improve the terrain in their body that can help resist the growth of cancer.

Register to learn more about:

  • How inflammation and insulin resistance drive cancer risk and how to assess and work with your patients to lower their risk
  • How to utilize genetic testing and estrogen metabolism biomarkers to evaluate your patient’s risk of breast cancer and what you can do to modulate that risk
  • The newest research on how the gut microbiome and environmental exposures influence our risk of cancer and what we can do to mitigate this risk
  • How to assess breast cancer risk in women considering or using menopausal hormone therapy and individualize discussions around potential benefits and risks
  • Strategies for supporting patients with a history of breast cancer, including lifestyle and metabolic factors that may affect overall health and survivorship, and how biomarkers can assist you
