Environmental Health Symposium

We are practicing medicine in a world where toxicant exposure complexed with acute and chronic infections increasingly inhabit and complicate the landscape of human health – where immunity to viruses and other pathogens, like Lyme and its coinfections,  are increasingly compromised by toxicants – for example, endocrine disruptors which damage T cell viability are found in  75-100% of the US population.  How do we begin to navigate and find solutions to the complex interplay of acute and chronic infections, toxic exposure and immune disruption that impact our ability to thrive?
