DUTCH: What inspired you to become a healthcare practitioner?

Dr. Jenny: I wanted to become a naturopathic doctor to empower women with their health and their bodies. I am inspired to help my patients treat the root cause of disease from the inside out.

DUTCH: What is your medical training?

Dr. Jenny: I am a Naturopathic Doctor. I graduated from NCNM in 2010.

DUTCH: Describe your medical background/practice.

Dr. Jenny: My practice is focused on women’s health with an emphasis in fertility, postpartum, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, and chronic infections such as lyme, mold, EBV, etc.

DUTCH: What other functional testing do you use in your practice?

Dr. Jenny: Genova stool analysis, OAT, and mold testing.

DUTCH: How have you incorporated DUTCH Testing into your practice?

Dr. Jenny: I use DUTCH to get the broader perspective of how all of the sex hormones are dancing together, how the hormones are metabolizing out of the body, both of which give an indirect indication of the functionality of the body and other organ systems at play.

DUTCH: What are the changes you have seen in your patients and practice since incorporating the DUTCH Test®?

Dr. Jenny: Patients like the confirmation of the DUTCH results. That knowledge empowers them to know it is not all in their head. DUTCH also helps guide my use of therapeutics to achieve the optimal results.

DUTCH: Where do you see functional/integrative medicine twenty years from now?

Dr. Jenny: Medicine continues to become more integrative as time moves forward. I foresee medicine twenty years from now having the highly specialized providers, but who also approach patients through an integrative lens.

DUTCH: What do you like to do outside of work?

Dr. Jenny: I love to be outdoors – skiing, rock climbing, cycling, camping. We have two little kids who we are raising to have a love and respect for outdoor activities.
